Biography

Dr. Jakob Hanna is one of the founders of PPDS-Germany. He was born in Syria (Kamishli) and became a German citizen since he was three years old. Prior to studying medicine, he gained professional experience as a paramedic at the Red Cross in Germany, where he also volunteered during his college years.

He successfully completed his studies at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen. During his studies, he conducted research at the Institute of Physiology at the University of Giessen receiving a Doctorate in 2015 in “Characterization of expression patterns and activated signal cascades of selected CTRPs in adult myocardium”. He started his professional career in 2014 in the internal medicine department of Ludwigshafen Hospital and has been a specialist in internal medicine since 2020. Currently he is studying to become a cardiologist. He is also an active volunteer as a founding member and board member of WMAS (World Medical Association of Suryoye).

With PPDS-Germany, Dr. Jakob wants to provide opportunities for general practitioners and specialists from Indonesia to become specialist doctors in Germany.
